Ford Transit Custom 2.2tdci 2013 no start. I have a transit custom in and we found that a mouse had chewed a wire to the pcm causing no diag with the van at all. I fix the wire and now have diag, but the van still will not start. I have chased the fault to the fuel pressure solenoid - fuel is getting to the high pressure pump, but not to the rail.

Here's its EGR service history (from dealer's record): - 19K miles: replaced EGR bypass valve under warranty (engine light on, TSB 17-0009) - 72K miles: performed recall 17E07 (apparently EGR Cooler replacement, also EGR bypass valve) - 97K miles: replaced EGR bypass valve under warranty (engine light on P24A5, this one brought in by me)

Usually, the DPFE will cause "drive-ability" probs. Check your ports! 2002 F150 5.4L XLT SuperCab LB 4X4 3.55LS. True Blue/Silver 2 Tone.

The EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation valve) does nothing more than introduce exhaust gases into the combustion process under certain conditions which has the effect of cooling the combustion process and contributing to less harmfull emissions. Most engines have them.
If your van is already at the dealer I would request this. Common problems that can prevent your regen from turning on are; -EGR sensor #1. -Air flow sensor out of range (usually from leaking EGR) -DEF tank heater. -Reductant heater circuit (P20BA) (DEF line heater) Reply.

Hi there thanksOk the most common cause of this concern on the custom is a faulty DPF sensor (Diesel Particulate Filter) The DPF sensor should read around 0.5 volts with ignition on What we see is it reads too high around 1.4 volts and makes the pcm (Powertrain Control Module) think the DPF is completely blocked As it can only assume this from the voltage it sees from the dpf sensorThe dpf We recommend the following Exhaust gas recirculation valve for your FORD TRANSIT: Our online shop provides nearly 576 items for Exhaust gas recirculation valve (egr valve) FORD TRANSIT in the premium segment all across Europe. EGR Valve. I have a 2007 Ford Transit, having done only 80,000 miles. The Engine Management Light is permanently on. The main dealer has reset it and tells me the EGR valve wants replacing again. It remained off for approx 2 weeks and then lit up again. This is the 5th time it has needed replacing.

The EGR is a valve that sends dirty exhaust gasses back into the engine for a second burning. This is entirely for emisssions control, but the side effect is all the crap in the exhaust goes back through the valve, back into the inlet manifold and makes a mess. To diagnose and repair Ford exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems properly, it is important to understand how they work and what is unique to the product line. Ford EGR systems are designed to reduce smog-causing nitrous oxides (NOx) by recirculating a portion of the exhaust gases from each cylinder of the engine back into the intake manifold. etzoma.
