Thisworked for me, might not work for you. I have cloud sync enabled, and will only work if you have as well. I had a manual save as well, my auto saves are all gone. As soon as I booted the game and saw over 10h missing, I closed the game. I attempted a few tricks (among them rebooting) and nothing worked.
Pullup the uplay game launcher thing and there will be an arrow to the right of where you press play. Click on that and then click "verify game files". That fixed his problem so it's worth a shot. It takes about 5 min. I just get "uninstall" for Black Flag. Allof my games have disappeared from my account. So today I received a mail from Support telling me they'll delete my account in 30 days due to inactivity. I then decided to reactivate my account and cancel that process. All went fine and dandy, until I entered Ubisoft Connect (which I guess is how Uplay is called now) and I have NOTHING.Idon't know how the save system works in ACO, but it should be possible to disable Cloud Sync and still play and save the game. Give it a try, but search for your old savefiles first. just disable it and backup saves manually, there is a tool to auto backup saves on ubisoft forums created by Yazx_ , search for it.
