I've owned the Canon 24-70 2.8 and the new Canon 24-105 4.0 mm is and the 28-70 2.8 and used all 3 lens. All 3 above lens are sharp and have great color and contrast, But the good ol' Canon 28-70 2.8 has (MORE) contrast than the 24-70 & 24-105 Hands Down.
