Hey there, new to the forum and had a question after I installed new Tekmo header. First off I have a 2019 ktm 690 smcr. I’ve now got Tekmo header, fmf 4.1 muffler, Rottweiler intake and power commander.. the header went on fine until I went to install the heat shield that attaches to the rear and nothing wants to line up.
There's a guy on Thumper talk that just put one on his 701. Looks pretty simple,just have to do very little fab work to make it work. He's also doing a group buy on the slip on right now. 045558 is the part number for the slip on,I'm pretty sure after talking to FmF that 045594 and 045586 will also work. Also looks like KTM makes a bad fuel dongle (I wouldn’t get it for a street bike) themselves so idk - do some research but doesn’t look like a fuel single is an issue. You will gain 10% bhp tops, and a bit more torque, but the sound just makes it worthwhile also it will make it lighter on the left side, the cat exhaust weights a ton. 2010-2016 KTM 690 SMC/R "Gone but not forgotten, RIP 690".
