no my 965 battery lasts longer then my 955 solar. The 955 drained the battery when not working out. During workouts the battery drain is about the same. My 945 had the best battery. I do 5 workouts per week. 4 with gps multiband and the 965 lasts me 10 days. The 955solar only 6.

3811409 over 3 years ago. Finally I think I have resolved the issue of abnormal battery drain that I faced for my Fenix 6 pro. I first tried rebooting and hard reset but it didn't work. Then I deleted garmindevice.xml and restarted watch and it didn't help. Then I downgraded the firmware to 10.10 and upgraded it again through Garmin explorer on

It is easy to notice the battery drain when the music widget is "on", as this last 15.71 BETA release is especially excellent on battery. Now 09:00 I got (with all on) a 0.4%/hour and I have lost 6.0% in 16 hours (since yesterday 17:00) The projection is 13 days for Garmin and 16,3 days for Battery Gauge.

I updated my garmin fenix 5 with 14.10. I still have problems with high battery consumption. Consume 1% per hour. With software 13.1 I had consumption of 5% per day.
Battery drains fast. 8765792 over 4 years ago. Since the latest update I am having to charge my watch twice a day. It is currently 13months old. I was using it connected to phone and to monitor my heart rate all day, and it would last 2 days. Including monitoring my training twice a day. Since the update I have had to turn off Bluetooth and HR Add a Comment. jaamgans Fenix 6x Pro Solar / Epix 2 • 1 yr. ago. Restart the watch. Always do that after an update as can stop little glitches. • 1 yr. ago. Thanks.. I attempted the connect to computer then disconnect the cable to restart. Doesn't work.. Might have to let the battery run out. Step 2. Use a plastic opening tool to remove the face of the device to expose the inner components. There is one metal piece at the top of the face that is loose. This is the GPS antenna which will need to be removed as well. Be careful with the ribbon that connects the motherboard to the display. 2 comments.
bummer, the easy fixes are covered then. GPS, pulse ox, and notifications use a lot of battery along with some watch faces. Contact Garmin. My 7x solar lasts a few weeks and I have not obsessed over the settings nor gotten a huge boost from the solar as I work in an office. Update the map, that fixed my battery issue.
I had this issue. I spoke with Garmin and they directed me to the latest beta software (19.75) which they said would solve the problem. Since switching to the beta the problem appears to have went away. Battery draw is now around a third of what it was beforehand (it went from almost .3%/hour to around .1%/hour). 7.

Similar. Since last week and after 1 year my Fenix 6X Pro is suddenly draining around 20% every 24 hours, without having change the settings (before it would last 2 weeks, even doing lots of activities.) Even when disconnecting the Bluetooth the drain remains the same. No extra apps installed, basic watch face, even without seconds.

I usually charge the watch every saturday and there is around 20-25% battery left. I've upgraded to 8.37 last week and I noticed that the battery was draining really fast : I was at 15% friday morning so I charged the watch to 25% before going out for my running session (and restarted it). At then end of day it was at about 15% and this morning
Running out of battery fast. I have a garmin vivoactive 4 and it was running for 3 days on gps when I got it. I turned off gps and turned off Bluetooth and charged it to 100 % and now it keeps draining super fast. I charged it to 100 and I woke up and it was at 58. Yesterday I charged it to 100 and then it lasted a night and 6 hours before dying.
EDIT 2: After 95% it returned into the quicker drain. I will give it one more charging cycle. if that doesn’t help I will return it. EDIT 3: After chatting with the Garmin support I uninstalled the Battery Widget (of course they want to rule that out) and did a hard reset. The first and second days seemed great (5.6% a day without GPS).
Battery Drain After Update. Garmin has fixed this issue by releasing version 14.36. After updating my Fenix 7 to the latest software version (14.31) a couple of days ago, the battery started to drain exceptionally quickly. Just using it normally for around 5 hours, the battery indicator on my watch dropped from 17 days to 15 days.
