The F22/F23 was sort of a "loss leader" for BMW, designed from the start to be less of a car than the 3/4 Series. The seats aren't as good.

The higher compression of the 320i engine limits its tuning ceiling vs. the 328i, but as stated earlier in this thread, the 320i has smaller diameter propshaft/half-shafts so any hard launching on a heavily-tuned 320i would probably toast the drivetrain before the engine anyway.
